About The OpportunityThis is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated PT to play a vital role in a Level 1 Trauma Center. You will work alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, providing exceptional rehabilitative care to patients recovering from a wide range of complex injuries and conditions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to determine their functional limitations and create individualized treatment plans.
- Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, exercise programs, and modalities, to improve patients' strength, mobility, balance, and coordination.
- Educate patients on their conditions and self-care strategies to promote long-term recovery.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Document treatment progress accurately and thoroughly in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Maintain a safe and positive treatment environment.
- Active California Physical Therapist License.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a hospital or acute care setting, preferably within a Level 1 Trauma Center.
- Strong clinical skills and a comprehensive understanding of therapeutic exercise principles.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is mandatory.
