Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a leading 210-bed skilled nursing facility (SNF) in Chambersburg, PA, to find a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).

Responsibilities :
Assist in Evaluations : Collaborate with the Physical Therapist (PT) to conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' physical abilities, functional limitations, and progress toward goals.
Implement Treatment Plans : Under the supervision of a licensed PT, implement individualized treatment plans to address specific needs and goals, utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques.
Therapeutic Interventions : Deliver various interventions, such as exercises, gait training, and modalities, to promote functional improvement, pain reduction, and enhanced mobility.
Collaborate : Work effectively with the interdisciplinary team, including physical therapists, nurses, and physicians, to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
Document : Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident progress and treatment interventions.
Qualifications : Education :
Education :
Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program.
Licensure :
Valid state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Pennsylvania.
Experience :
Experience in a skilled nursing or geriatric rehabilitation setting is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
Skills :
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents, families, and staff.
Strong understanding of physical therapy principles and techniques.
Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
Schedule :
Full-time : 35 hours per week.
Schedule : Monday through Friday with weekend rotation.
