- Patient Interaction & Education: Gather pertinent information from patients, families, providers, and nurses to facilitate accurate diagnoses and provide clear explanations of procedures, including pre-and post-procedure instructions.
- Exam Verification & Accuracy: Ensure that the correct examination is being administered to the patient, consulting with the ordering provider as needed.
- Inventory & Equipment Management: Maintain appropriate inventory levels of supplies and perform daily equipment inspections.
- Procedural Assistance: Assist providers during invasive procedures, demonstrating proficiency in fluoroscopy/C-arm operation.
- Advanced Skills: Independently perform advanced radiologic tasks with minimal supervision, adhering to ALARA principles.
- Additional Duties: Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the radiology department by completing other assigned duties as needed.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Licenses/Certifications:
- American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider certification
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- Additional:
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Strong technical skills and experience with various radiologic equipment and procedures.
