Position OverviewTrusted Staffe seeks a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our partner, a hospital in Saint Louis, MO. This role involves providing respiratory care to patients in both ICU and floor settings, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through skilled clinical interventions and care coordination.
Shift: 3x12 Nights
Key Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy to patients, including endotracheal tube suctioning, extubation, nasal airway suctioning, oral airway placement, sputum specimen collection, and tracheostomy suctioning.
- Administer medications such as Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Inhaled Flolan, Inhaled steroids, Lidocaine, Nitric Oxide (INo), Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, and Xopenex.
- Utilize various medication delivery systems, including aerosol set-up masks, aerosol set-up trach, and metered dose inhalers.
- Manage nebulizer treatments with hand-held, T-piece, trach collar, and ultrasonic devices.
- Perform oxygen therapy with High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC).
- Oversee ventilator management, including BiPAP, and CPAP, troubleshooting high-pressure alarms, and weaning from mechanical ventilation.
- Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) accurately.
- Nights: 3x12-hour shifts
- Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
- No block scheduling
- Guaranteed Hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks (canceled shifts must match the regular shift length assigned)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- Certifications: BCLS, RRT
- First-time travelers accepted.
- Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs, including working in ICUs and floors.
- Epic experience is required.
- Airway management and medication administration skills.
- Local candidates not accepted (75-mile radius rule applies).
- Pending license accepted.
- RTO Restrictions: No more than 7 days.

- For orientation: Park in the Laclede Garage (4929 Forest Park Ave, St. Louis, MO 63108) for a $15.00 charge (no validation or reimbursement available). Wear scrubs.
- Night Shift: No charge for parking, park in employee parking.
- Day/Night Rotation: Obtain a parking pass for $70.00 per month, and park in the Clayton/Taylor Ave garage. Bring your license plate number on your first day.
