Position: Respiratory Therapist

Key Responsibilities
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by physicians.
- Perform diagnostic tests, such as measuring lung capacity and determining blood gas levels.
- Monitor patients' responses to therapy and make necessary adjustments.
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions and the proper use of respiratory equipment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Associate degree from an AMA-approved program for Respiratory Care.
- Must obtain State of Vermont Respiratory Therapy Licensure prior to start date.
- Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist or eligibility to take the NBRC written examination within one year of hire.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certification preferred.
- At least one year of work history as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital setting.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of respiratory therapy procedures and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
- Compassionate and patient-focused with a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
