- Preoperative Care: Prepare patients for surgery, including conducting assessments, obtaining informed consent, and providing education.
- Intraoperative Care: Assist surgeons during procedures, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and maintain a sterile environment.
- Postoperative Care: Monitor patients in the recovery room, manage pain and complications, and provide discharge instructions.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and surgical procedures.
- Required:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
- National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Certificate - NIH Stroke Scale Training Course within 90 days of hire.
- 1 year of Nursing experience.
- Preferred:
- National Certification in area of specialty upon hire.
- Full Time: 36 hours per week.
- Shift: Day or Night Shift
