This specialized unit provides comprehensive care to patients with cardiac conditions, offering a unique opportunity for RNs to utilize their critical care skills and expertise during the night shift.
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized care to patients with various cardiac conditions, including acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, arrhythmias, and postoperative cardiac surgery patients during the night shift.
- Perform thorough assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement nursing interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments, including cardiac medications, and monitor patient response.
- Utilize advanced cardiac monitoring equipment to assess and interpret cardiac rhythms.
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, pharmacists, and therapists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes during the night shift.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff during the night shift.
- Active RN license in the state of Wyoming
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Coronary Care Unit (CCU), or Step-Down Unit
- BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Strong cardiac assessment and monitoring skills
- Knowledge of cardiac medications and treatments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working night shifts
