Trusted Staffe seeks a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our partner hospital's Oncology unit in Seattle, WA. This full-time, night shift position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide specialized care to patients undergoing cancer treatment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients, including those receiving chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and other cancer treatments.
- Perform thorough assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based nursing interventions.
- Administer medications, including chemotherapy and other cancer-related medications, and monitor patient responses closely.
- Manage side effects and complications associated with cancer treatments.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, fostering a compassionate and healing environment.
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary oncology team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient care documentation, adhering to established protocols and standards.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Active Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification upon hire.
- 1 year of Nursing experience.
- National Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN) upon hire.
- Experience in oncology nursing or a related field.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassion and empathy for patients and their families facing cancer.
