This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide critical care to trauma patients in a fast-paced and rewarding environment, with the added benefit of no on-call requirements and a generous $20,000 sign-on bonus (based on eligibility).
Key Responsibilities
- Trauma Care Expertise: Deliver specialized nursing care to patients experiencing traumatic injuries, utilizing your knowledge and skills to assess, stabilize, and treat a wide range of conditions.
- Surgical Support: Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures, providing comprehensive care throughout the perioperative period.
- Patient Advocacy: Act as a patient advocate, providing emotional support and education to patients and their families during their hospital stay.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated and high-quality care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care following established protocols.
- Required:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Active and unrestricted RN license in the State of South Carolina
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
- One (1) year of RN OR experience
- Additional Requirements:
- Complete IV Therapy training and/or demonstrate competency within one year
- Maintain competency and/or certification specific to departmental requirements
- Willingness/ability to float to other comparable nursing units as needed
- Preferred:
- Previous hospital experience
- Advanced certification in a specialty field
- Participation in professional organizations
