Software / Product Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a hands-on Product Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technology delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python development, SQL, and cloud technologies, particularly Azure.

Location:

New York City (NYC), with flexibility for the tri-state area.

Some onsite meetings at NYC HQ required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and deliver them independently
• Develop and maintain applications using Python
• Write SQL stored procedures and interact with databases efficiently
• Deploy and manage applications in Azure cloud environment
• Participate in data governance and analytics initiatives
• Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements
• Contribute to the entire product development lifecycle, from conception to deployment
• Optimize and improve existing systems and processes

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Python development with hands-on coding experience
• Strong SQL skills, including writing complex queries and stored procedures
• Experience with Azure cloud services and deploying applications in cloud environments
• Knowledge of data governance principles and analytics
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with business stakeholders
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with underwriting models such as Moody's
• Familiarity with core banking systems like Fidelity Information Services (FIS) or FISERV
• Knowledge of CRM platforms such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics
• Experience with Mulesoft

Additional Information:

• This is a long-term contract position
• The role is individual contributor-focused and not a lead position
• Candidate must be comfortable with a hands-on development role
