Overview

The Accounts Payable Manager is a critical role responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions, while maintaining compliance with financial regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of financial concepts and a proven ability to manage the financial affairs of the organization.

Duties

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable department, ensuring that all transactions are processed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Manage and maintain the organization's accounts payable records, including accounts payable ledgers, journals, and trial balances.
- Prepare and review accounts payable invoices, ensuring that all invoices are accurately processed and paid on time.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring that all invoices are received in a timely manner and are accurately processed.
- Coordinate with other departments, including accounts receivable, payroll, and accounting, to ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
- Analyze and resolve accounts payable discrepancies and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, including GAAP, and public accounting standards.
- Manage and maintain the organization's accounting software, including Workday.
- Prepare and review financial reports, including accounts payable reports, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software, including Workday.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts, including GAAP.
- Experience with payroll processing.
- Experience with accounts receivable and cash management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- 10 key typing skills.
- Experience with technical accounting and tax preparation.
- Public accounting experience is a plus.
