Full Stack Java Developer
Exciting new Java Developer Opportunity to join a team working closely with a highly innovative team! This is an opportunity for an energetic technologist with back-end and front-end development with Java and front end proficiency in Angular. You will help with the development and maintenance associated with Backend, Frontend, and Mobile applications. This is 90% web development and 10% mobile. This role will be focused on maintenance and bug fixes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain work for the operating system application
- Backend, frontend, and mobile application support
- Monitoring and systems management
- Daily work may involve interactions with software vendors and integration partners
This is a 12-month contract that will auto-renew. This role is remote, with the occasional office presence. It is highly preferred that you are local to the Atlanta area to attend occasional meetings at the manager's discretion. This will be a few times a quarter, and you must be flexible. This is a great opportunity to work within an enterprise environment, with flexible work hours and great work-life balance. BRAND NEW office location with several amenities (gym, food court, Marta access, etc.).
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 8 years’ of development experience with Java
- 3-4 years of Angular experience
- Familiar with Github as well as change and configuration management best practices
- In-depth knowledge of relational databases (especially DB2), SQL Server or others
- Ability to work on multiple active projects at one time
- Deep knowledge of frameworks and tools used in Java full stack development like Core Java, servlets, APIs, databases, web architecture, etc.
- Solid grasp of service-oriented architecture in web and backend application development frameworks
- Strong Agile
- Experience with Jira for project tracking
- Ability to write quality unit tests
- Fluent with UNIX or LINUX
- Strong verbal skills
- Strong job tenure
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins, Github, SonarQube)
- Docker Containers
- Experience with SQL development
- Experience with IBM MQ
- Experience with Automated Testing Tools such as Tosca
