1107 Optique Team Lead

Summary:

The Eyewear Team Lead will be responsible for supporting the Executive Director in leading the day-to-day operations of 1107 Optique.

Job Responsibilities:

· Support and implement VisionPoint’s vision, mission, and values.

· Serve as a leader, role model, and resource for opticians and create a team spirit that is inclusive, supportive, flexible, and positive.

· Accountable for improving and maintaining optical key performance indicator targets.

· Meet regularly with Executive Director to discuss performance, concerns, and offer suggestions for improving processes, staff engagement, and patient experience.

· Assist the Executive Director to institute new policies and procedures.

· Develop and oversee systems to ensure eyewear supplies are readily available when and where supplies are needed.

· Develop and coordinate opticians’ work schedules and assignments to ensure coverage for patient care. Receive calls from opticians for unplanned absences and adjust schedule as needed prior to the office opening if possible.

· Receive and approve time off requests from opticians based on eyewear’s needs and office policies and manage optician time sheets.

· Complete annual performance reviews and partner with HR Director to administer reviews.

· Maintain confidentiality of both patients and staff at all times.

· Assist in the hiring of new staff.

· Use tact and professionalism to resolve difficult staff and patient issues as they arise.

· Ensure appropriate optician training is completed with ongoing training, preparation for ABO exams, and continuous quality improvement.

· Assist in the planning, organization, and leading eyewear department meetings.

· Oversee frame purchasing and maintain an accurate frame inventory and merchandising.

Requirements:

· High School diploma required. College degree or ABO certification preferred.

· Demonstrated experience in team development and leadership. Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.

· Individual must be a team player with excellent multi-tasking skills.

· Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to prepare written reports and recommendations.

· Ability to communicate effectively in oral presentations.

• Monday to Friday, salaried position averaging 40-45 hours per week
