Visiting Nurse Association of Hanover & Spring Grove is Hiring a Development/Marketing Manager Near Hanover, PA

Position Type: Onsite, Part-Time (30 hours per week)

The Development/Marketing Manager will play a crucial role in the growth and sustainability of our Home Health and Hospice Agency. This individual will be responsible for managing and executing the agency’s development and marketing strategies, focusing on building and maintaining relationships with referral sources, writing grants, securing major gifts, and leading campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nonprofit development, excellent communication skills, and a passion for our mission to provide exceptional home health and hospice care.

Campaign Management:

1.Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising campaigns, including annual appeals, capital campaigns, and special events.

2.Develop campaign materials, including brochures, letters, social media content, and other promotional items.

3.Track campaign progress and provide regular reports to the Executive Director/CEO and Board of Directors.

Major Gifts:

1.Develop and implement a major gift strategy to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors.

2.Create personalized engagement plans for major gift prospects.

3.Work with the Executive Director/CEO and Board members to secure major gifts and build lasting donor relationships.

Grant Writing:

1.Identify and research grant opportunities that align with the agency’s mission and goals.

2.Write and submit compelling grant proposals, including all required documentation and follow-up.

3.Manage grant reporting requirements and ensure compliance with all funding sources.

Marketing and Communications:

1.Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the agency’s services and programs.

2.Manage the agency’s online presence, including website content, social media, and email marketing.

3.Create and distribute press releases, newsletters, and other communications materials.

Referral Source Management:

1.Develop and maintain strong relationships with referral sources, including hospitals, clinics, physicians, and community organizations.

2.Regularly check in with referral sources to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for collaboration.

3.Create and implement strategies to increase referrals and enhance partnerships.

Customer Service:

1.Demonstrates the highest degree of customer awareness by seeking out opportunities to identify and meet the needs of internal and external customers.

2.Effectively represents the Agency in a positive, professional manner at all times.

3.Treats each person as an individual with respect and dignity and maintains a collaborative relationship with customers.

4.Consistently performs all of the above in a friendly, courteous manner.

Qualifications:

1. A bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

2. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit development and/or marketing.

3.Proven success in grant writing and securing major gifts.

4.Proven track record of successful event planning and fundraising.

5.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

6.Strong organizational and project management skills.

7.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

8.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and donor management software.

9.Experience in the healthcare or hospice industry.

10.Familiarity with fundraising databases and tools.

11.Knowledge of local and national funding sources and trends in the nonprofit sector.
