About VNA Home HealthOperating as a non-profit organization, Visiting Nurse Association of Southeast Missouri's Home Health program delivers skilled services to patients in the comfort of their private homes under the orders of private physicians.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Registered Nurse at VNA Home Health, you will be responsible for assessing symptoms of diseases and treatment responses, educating patients and caregivers on care procedures, addressing inquiries related to medication, diet, disease processes, and activity levels. Additionally, you will administer IV and injectable medications, perform prescribed treatments, offer wound management, ostomy care, promote independence, and effectively communicate any health changes in patients to their physicians.
TrainingUpon joining our team, VNA provides a comprehensive 30-day preceptor/orientation training program. This program offers you the opportunity to shadow experienced Home Health Team Members for hands-on training. You will also have the chance to accompany team members on patient visits, enabling you to ask questions and gain practical experience. Additionally, computer training will cover the utilization of handheld devices used for patient visits.
Requirements

• Certification: Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Missouri
• Experience: Minimum one year of experience in a healthcare institution in the role of an R.N.
