Introduction

Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Quality Engineer position. This position is a direct hire opportunity which is expected to be on-site in Middletown, CT.

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for:

• Develop and implement plans to accomplish Quality department objectives that support schedule and meet contract objectives.
• Work with and interpret blueprints, drawings and mil-specs in accordance with government and/or customer contract requirements.
• Support closeout of NC's to ensure appropriate corrective action has been taken.
• Support Quality Department FAI inspection activities.
• Assist in the development and presentation of training programs, as needed.
• Follow standard departmental and company procedures as outlined by management.

Qualified candidates would have the following:

• BS degree in related technical field and 0 to 3 years of experience in quality assurance or related responsibilities, or AS degree in related technical field and 4 to 7 years of experience in quality assurance or related responsibilities.
• Broad knowledge of a general technical field such as quality assurance engineering, electrical or mechanical engineering, or applied sciences.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 regulations.
• Team player with a positive attitude and a passion for excellence.
