Position OverviewWe are currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team as an Inpatient Wound Care Specialist at Vista Medical Center. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering specialized wound care services to our inpatient population. Working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, you will assess, treat, and monitor patients with acute and chronic wounds, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care.
Responsibilities
Position OverviewWe are currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team as an Inpatient Wound Care Specialist at Vista Medical Center. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering specialized wound care services to our inpatient population. Working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, you will assess, treat, and monitor patients with acute and chronic wounds, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' wounds and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer wound care treatments, including dressing changes, wound debridement, and specialized therapies.
- Educate patients and their families on wound care techniques, prevention strategies, and self-management.
- Collaborate with physicians, wound care specialists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in wound care rounds, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certification in Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing (WOCN) or Wound Care Nurse (WCC) preferred.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
