Mission of the Role

As a Finance Leadership Development Program Associate, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and driving key initiatives across our corporate finance and strategy functions.

This unique position offers the opportunity to work as an internal consultant, tackling special projects that span a range of areas including Strategy, Investor Relations, Capital Markets, FP&A, Forecasting, Treasury, and more.

Instead of traditional rotations, you will be dynamically allocated to projects based on business needs, ensuring a diverse and impactful experience.

The role will be based at Visteon's headquarters as part of a lean team responsible for delivering on key initiatives directed by the CFO and finance leadership team.

Key Objectives of this Role

  • Lead and support special projects across various finance and strategy functions, ensuring timely completion and actionable insights.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses on various strategic initiatives, providing recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with the sales and finance teams to develop accurate and timely cash flow forecasts.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes, providing insights to drive business decisions.
  • Work with the treasury team to devise and implement foreign exchange hedging strategies to mitigate risk.
  • Evaluate capital structure decisions and financing options.
  • Assist in preparing materials for investor meetings, earnings calls, and other investor-related events.
  • Assist with cash management, liquidity planning, and other treasury-related activities.
  • Work closely with teams across the organization, ensuring alignment on project goals and deliverables.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging financial tools, and best practices to bring innovative ideas to the table.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Timely completion of special projects.
  • Positive impact and actionable insights generated.
  • Number of in-depth analyses conducted on strategic initiatives.
  • Performance in supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.

Key Year One Deliverables :

  • Successfully lead and support at least two special projects within the finance and strategy functions, ensuring they are completed on time and deliver actionable insights.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses on strategic initiatives, providing well-researched recommendations to senior leadership. These analyses should contribute to the formulation of key business strategies.
  • Completion of Business Intelligence & Data Analyst (BIDA®) Certification and select financial modeling and analysis courses through Visteon's corporate finance training program with Corporate Finance Institute"

Qualification, Experience and Skills :

  • Top-tier academic background
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in corporate finance, management consulting, investment banking, or a related role.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency of PowerPoint and Excel including the ability to create PPT templates, external presentations, and 3-statement financial models.
  • Lifetime learner with a passion for developing both professional and personally.

Reporting Structure :

The Finance Leadership Development Program Associate will report to the Director, Corporate Strategy and M&A.
