Vital Nurse Services is Hiring a LVN School Nurse Roles Near Lenwood, CA

Vital Nurse Services (“Vital”) is currently seeking a motivated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in Lenwood, CA. Prior experience working with students is strongly preferred.

Vital is a public-private partnership that provides medical, nurse, and behavioral intervention services to school districts and municipalities. This public-private partnership has proved to be a valuable program in the communities served.

Weekday availability and immediate start are required.

Responsibilities:

As a Vital Nurse, you will play a key role in supporting our school district clients. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide health services to students and staff members
  • Implement specialized healthcare procedures such as blood sugar testing, catheterization, blood pressure, oral suction, g-tube feedings, seizure procedures, turning and lifting routines, etc.
  • Work with students, faculty, and staff to ensure the student's day-to-day health needs are met
  • Evaluate the health and well being of students and staff members
  • Must maintain the confidentiality of information gathered while caring for students
  • Build rapport with students with physical, mental, or educational disabilities
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, and faculty
  • Provide coverage throughout the student's school day (from the student's home to when they are dropped off after school)

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
  • Weekday (M-F) availability
  • Strong attention to detail, superior work ethic and integrity, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in conducting audiometric tests
  • Ability to perform vision screenings
  • High level of energy and professionalism with a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable transportation and punctuality required
  • Ability to handle behavioral issues

Compensation:

Compensation is between $35-$38

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
