Today, Vital Voices has a staff of nearly 100 headquartered in Washington, DC. In the coming years we have a bold vision to dramatically scale our impact. In early 2022, we opened the first ever Global Headquarters for Women's Leadership, a 30,000 sq. ft. historic building just blocks from the White House on 16th Street. It is a hub of activity, events, and collaborations - bringing together women leaders and their allies to tackle the world's greatest challenges.

Summary
Vital Voices Global Partnership is on the hunt for a dynamic and visionary Executive Producer for Vital Voices Live Content. Based at our new women's leadership headquarters in Washington, D.C. and reporting to our Chief External Affairs Officer, Emmanuelle Errera, this role offers the chance to lead the development and execution of groundbreaking events and experiences. If you're passionate about driving gender equity on a global scale via exceptional programs, this is the opportunity for you. The ideal candidate will be deeply committed to these values, boast a robust network and most up-to-date knowledge of all high-level events to be, have a meticulous attention to detail, and possess the ability to craft transformative experiences that engage, inspire, and mobilize our diverse, international community of women leaders. Your work will ensure our headquarters stands as a beacon of our mission and investment model through exceptional events and programming.
This hybrid position is based in Washington, DC, with Events staff expected to be in the office at least three times a week or depending on major events.

  • Content Curation : Curate compelling content, including stories, artifacts, and multimedia presentations, that effectively communicate the achievements and challenges faced by women leaders around the globe to galvanize collective action in our network.
  • Program Development : Utilize our Global Headquarters to conceptualize and oversee the creation of curated events, exhibitions, workshops, salon series, and other programs that showcase the impact of women's leadership in various fields such as politics, social entrepreneurship, and advocacy in various fields.
  • Event Management : Manage all aspects of event planning and execution at VVHQ, including budgeting, logistics, vendor management, and attendee engagement, to ensure seamless and impactful experiences with a cross-functional, non-hierarchical team.
  • Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate closely with internal teams across a matrixed organization as well as external partners, like-minded organizations, funders and other key stakeholders to identify opportunities for collaboration and ensure the successful execution of curated experiences.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with thought leaders, influencers, and organizations in the women's empowerment space to enhance the visibility and reach of Vital Voices' curated initiatives.
  • Strategic Planning : Develop and execute a comprehensive curation strategy aligned with Vital Voices' mission and values, focusing on creating meaningful experiences that highlight the contributions of women leaders worldwide.
  • Partnership Development: Identify, cultivate, and manage local and international strategic partnerships with corporations, foundations, government agencies, and other organizations that share Vital Voices' commitment to gender equity. Collaborate with partners to co-create and co-sponsor curated experiences and leverage their resources to amplify the reach and impact of Vital Voices' programming.
  • Evaluation and Impact Assessment : Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of curated experiences through qualitative and quantitative measures and use data-driven insights to continuously improve and refine programming.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to a team of curation professionals, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
  • DE&I Commitment : Embrace and model the Vital Voices guiding principles, values, investment, and leadership models with the goal of supporting Vital Voices' organization culture and success;
  • Other duties as assigned.
Professional Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in curation, event management, or related fields, with a proven track record of success in creating impactful experiences.
  • Deep understanding of women's empowerment issues and a demonstrated commitment to advancing gender equality and social justice.
  • Creative thinker with a keen aesthetic sense and a passion for storytelling and narrative design.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt messaging to a global audience of diverse backgrounds and levels of access to digital initiatives.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence diverse stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience working in a multicultural or international setting preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software.
  • Bachelor's degree in international relations or a related field, plus 5-10 years of relevant work experience required REQUIRED; This position is a full-time, exempt hybrid position based in Washington, DC with a minimum of two days of required in person attendance at the Vital Voices Headquarters. If and when it is safe to travel, domestic and international travel up to 15% may be required for the position.
The starting salary range for this position is $111,372 -$154,609 based on experience and ability to have broad impact early.
