What You'll Do:

• Personal Care Superhero:

Picture this: a child looking up to you with trust, knowing you’ll assist them with their daily routines like bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. You'll be their rock, ensuring they feel confident and comfortable. You'll support them with feeding and meal prep, making sure every bite is filled with nourishment and care. You’ll help them move freely, making every step and roll count. And you’ll keep their living space tidy and safe because a clean space is a happy space.

• Respite Care Rockstar:

Think of yourself as an extension of support to the primary caregivers, giving them the much-needed break they deserve. Engage these wonderful kids in fun activities that stimulate their minds and bodies, and offer companionship and emotional support. Be the best buddy they’ve ever had, turning every moment into a cherished memory.

• Community Connector Extraordinaire:

Imagine accompanying these kids to exciting community activities and events, watching their eyes light up as they explore the world around them. You'll help them make new friends and build connections, ensuring they feel a part of the community. Provide transportation to appointments, school, or playdates, turning every journey into an adventure.

• Behavior Support Champ:

Visualize yourself as a guiding star, implementing awesome strategies to manage behaviors, offering positive reinforcement, and celebrating every achievement. You'll be there to support them through challenges, making sure they know they’re never alone.

• Communication Wiz:

Think of the trust and bond you’ll build by keeping the conversation flowing with kids, families, and team members. You'll report any changes in the child's needs with clarity and care, ensuring everyone is on the same page and the child receives the best possible support.

• Safety Guardian:

Envision yourself as the guardian of their well-being, always ensuring their safety. Be ready to respond to emergencies with confidence and knowledge of protocols, giving peace of mind to both the children and their families.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience with caregiving, especially with children with DD, autism, and other support needs, is a bonus.
• A big heart, lots of patience, and a passion for working with children.
• Ability to pass a background check and provide glowing references.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable wheels.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
