Vitality Works, Inc. is Hiring a Production Encapsulation Technician I Near Albuquerque, NM

Job Summary:

With minimal supervision perform sanitizing of utensils and equipment, Measuring and blending of dry ingredients: Simple Formula Mixing. Operation and process of Hammer mills, Mikropulverisor, sifting and declumping equipment. Operation of inspection tables and performing processes of inspection of capsules. Documentation and Encapsulation/milling Department team responsibilities ensuring efficiency and quality goals and objectives of the Company are achieved.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain visitor-ready work environment keeping department area organized, safe and clean as- you-work.
  • Understand and routinely adhere to Standard Operating Procedures
  • Participate in the development and improvement of Standard Operating Procedures and Quality programming;
  • Communicates with Encapsulation Technician II and III, Production Manager and/or QA to improve operations, quality and team performance;
  • Works within the Production Encapsulation Department team structure to verify, prepare and stage various materials for the efficient operation of Department requirements;
  • Cross-checked by Encap tech II or III; inspects and verifies outputs against, formula and quality documentation;
  • Notifies peers, and/or Encap Tech III, Production Manager and/or QA with any concerns regarding the possibility of nonconforming product or environment;
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • The ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • The ability to understand written and spoken information in English in work related documents, trainings, and day to day operations.
  • Monitoring operation by watching gauges, dials or other indicators to make sure machine is working properly.
  • Know basic math and how to use a calculator.
  • Ability to read gauges, scales and graduated cylinders/pitchers.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Know how to meet quotas
  • The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine to exact positions.
  • The ability to tell and communicate when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. Recognizing there is a problem.
  • The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
  • The ability to lift or move heavy boxes, drums, etc. on a regular basis.
  • The ability to follow all safety measures.

Performance Measurements:

  • Attendance and promptness
  • Meeting quotas and goals
  • Following appropriate SOP’s, department procedures and safety regulations.
  • Making recommendations and improvements
  • Maximizing flexibility from direction of Encapsulation Tech III and/or Production Manager.
  • Accuracy-number of mistakes is low in relationship to quantity of work produced.
  • Teamwork contribution
  • Dependability

Requirement Education:

  • High School Diploma, GED or sufficient experience pertaining to this job.

Experience:

  • Fast paced prior job preferred, manufacturing experience a plus.

Physical:

  • Must be able to stand for the entire workday.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and move a 500 lb. drum dolly.

Training Required:

  • Required SOP’s
  • On the job training.
