VITAS Healthcare is Hiring a Regional Director Admissions Near Miami, FL

A regional leader responsible for supporting the Admissions Department of their assigned programs. The Regional Director Admissions will collaborate with national, divisional, regional, and program leadership to improve each program’s Admissions performance, quality, and growth.

Serves as an Admissions standard, policies, procedures, and industry subject-matter expert and resource.

  • Position structure
    • Reports to and managed by the Division E/SVPO with supporting oversight and direction by the VP Admissions
  • Leadership
    • Develop AMs leadership skills through utilization of Admissions training, coaching, mentoring, and modeling in remote and face-to-face interactions on weekly and as-needed basis
    • Collaborate with National, Division, Region, and Program leadership to successfully improve program performance, quality, and growth
    • Responsible for success of rollout and of sustaining key national, divisional, and regional initiatives
  • Strategy
    • Ensure Admissions department has active and actionable strategic plan(s) documented in the system
    • Ensure programs actively collaborate with other program departments in development of strategies to ensure alignment
  • Customer
    • Develop a customer-service oriented Admissions Department identifying and responding to the customer’s needs, wants, and recognize the customer is the center of VITAS business
    • Review and provide guidance on program-related customer complaints
    • Supports CAHPs initiatives
  • MAKM
    • Admissions-focused process improvement project management for the region
    • Admissions Performance KPI (Due to change based on national direction):
      • Length of Intake
      • Speed to Referral/Visit
      • Same Day Admits
      • Training Completion
      • PS Performance
    • Workforce
      • Oversight and ensured adherence to standards in the areas of:
        • Training
        • Staffing
        • Recruitment
        • Retention
      • Operations
        • Compliance with AM required duties
        • Audits
        • Monthly meeting
      • Results
        • Support a collaborative approach in achieving program, region, division and national Admissions related metrics

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5 years nursing preferred
  • 2 years in a leadership role preferred
  • Admissions experience preferred
  • Ability to work on various assignments simultaneously
  • Knowledge of industry policies and practices
  • Ability to motivate and develop others
  • Ability to communicate tactfully, both verbally and in writing, with program leadership, patients, families, managers, coworkers, and vendors to resolve problems and negotiate resolutions
  • Proficient with Microsoft products and comfortable learning new technologies (i.e. Excel, MS Teams, OneNote, SharePoint, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Ability to assimilate and analyze large amount of data/information to uncover training needs within a data set
  • Current R.N. License preferred –preferably in a site where VITAS services are offered
EDUCATION
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent, preferred to be licensed in the State of which the programs they cover. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Current RN license preferred
