1. Education: California Speech Therapy license required

2. Licensure: Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status as per American Heart Association standards require Certificate of Clinical Competence required.

• Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Fine motor skills in order for employee to manipulate equipment a manually mobilize patient. Normal gross motor skills.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact appropriately with patient and employee population under ten conditions and maintain composure. Able to communicate effectively in all situations.
• Essential Mental Abilities: Ability to complete multiple patient evaluations, develop, update and execute treatment plans. Problem solving and independent thinking requires.
• Essential Sensory Requirements: Must be able to hear, see, verbally communicate, and have tactile
• Performance Improvement: Assumes active role in the department’s Continuous Performance Improvement Program. Develops, implements and assesses Continuous Performance Improvement effort as assigned.
• Certification: BLS - AHA, CA SLP (Speech-Language Pathologist) License
• Education: Graduation from an accredited speech therapy program

Setting; Inpatient hospital, comfortable with Modified barium swallows and adult patients ranging from MedSurg, ICU to strokes.
