Job Overview: The Senior Accountant is a pivotal team player, renowned for their meticulous attention to detail and dedication to accuracy. The Senior Accountant role will encompass preparing, analyzing, and reconciling financial reports, managing treasury functions, coordinating audits, and supporting various internal stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage the general ledger and reconcile accounts.
- Analyze and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Prepare journal entries and review accruals.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Monitor budget variances and report on financial performance.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles and regulatory requirements.
- Support external audits and coordinate audit activities.
- Prepare and review tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Assist in tax planning and strategy development.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting and financial operations.
- Implement changes to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
- Mentor and train junior accounting staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting or related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Compensation: Up to $80,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position is also a hybrid model.
