Summary :
In this role,you will support a large, strategic Hospital Provider and provide sourcing and contracting support for a core group of supply chain team members and leadership.
You will act as a direct interface between provider hospital and National Group Purchasing Organization (GPO). As a lead level professional, you will touch on multiple aspects of the supply chain spectrum based on hospital needs (i.
e., analytics, national portfolio penetration, cost savings, value analysis support, etc.).
Responsibilities :
Work with client's representatives to identify opportunities for cost reduction through Vizient's contract portfolio maximization.
Evaluate provider hospital data of spend to prioritize implementation of contracts based on highest savings opportunities and present a plan of this priority to team.
Work with other contract managers to elicit information, support, and development of amendments to existing Vizient contracts where necessary for specific hospital requirements.
Work with other Vizient spend management team members on common goals and objectives that meet current budget requirements.
Negotiate with suppliers those contracts designed specifically for client while keeping designated contracting team members informed of your activities.
Identify those contracts that will require hands-on implementation. Develop implementation plans for those contracts as assigned, and work with appropriate client base necessary to achieve a successful implementation.
Research provider hospital spend information to identify hidden saving opportunities not otherwise apparent.
Participate in the development of agendas and follow up on action items assigned through the committee process.
Administer contracts assigned and manage supplier interaction necessary to Vizient and client's needs.
Coordinate bid efforts, complete data analysis, and use provider hospital participation in this process to achieve your goals and objectives.
Qualifications :
Relevant degree preferred.
7 or more years of relevant experience required.
Strong healthcare contracting background with experience in successful contract negotiations highly preferred.
Experience in the area of indirect / purchased services contracting is a plus.
Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range :
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range.
Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $88,900.00 to $146,700.00.
This position is also incentive eligible.
