Vizz Group is Hiring a Floor Manager Near New York, NY
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Floor Manager who will play a crucial role in the successful launch and daily operations of our new 400-seat French brasserie located in Grand Central Station. This bustling establishment will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, catering to commuters, tourists, and local diners alike. The ideal candidate will have a passion for French cuisine, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and coordinate all front-of-house operations during service
- Manage and train a large team of hosts, servers, and support staff to ensure excellent service
- Create and adjust staff schedules to meet the demands of peak hours and seasonal fluctuations
- Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for guests, personally greeting and seating them during busy periods
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards in all dining areas
- Manage reservations and handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain food quality and consistency
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies for front-of-house operations
- Implement and maintain cash handling and POS procedures
- Minimum 2 years of experience in restaurant management, preferably in a high-volume establishment
- Strong knowledge of French cuisine and wine
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Proficiency in restaurant management software and POS systems
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds
- High energy and stamina to manage a large, busy restaurant
