VLS Environmental Solutions is Hiring an Industrial Services - Project Manager Near Spartanburg, SC

The Project Manager Industrial Services will provide overall direction, supervision and field administration of daily jobs and long-term projects in the Industrial Services Operations at the Spartanburg, SC site.

JOB DUTIES

  • Manage the assigned personnel, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure work performance is planned and coordinated according to required safe work practices, schedule/timelines, strict adherence to quality and budget considerations. Daily site visits as needed to evaluate ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Assist Sales in preparation of estimates and procedures in planning of projects, with a strong eye to safety and operational efficiencies.
  • Maintain project work at all sites in a safe and environmentally sound condition per OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements.
  • Act as main contact with the customer for the resolution of operational issues.
  • Initiate corrective action for any unsafe or environmentally unsound conditions, regulations, and procedures.
  • Ensure that all customer and company policies are adhered to in the completion of the assigned projects.
  • Interface daily with customer contact, and constantly seek opportunities to sell additional services.
  • Actively participate in feedback and post-job evaluation portions of all field work.
  • Ensure operations personnel turn in daily job safety analyses (JSAs) and associated project paperwork.
  • Complete a post project evaluation for each project, including financial reports with KPI’s.
  • Ensure that the information needed for invoicing all projects is properly flowing to the Accounts Payable department in a timely manner.
  • Seek out input from employees and make recommendations to the branch management for improvements to machinery, equipment, and job site processes.
  • Other duties as directed.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree or 7 years’ experience in Industrial Services, with increasing supervisory experience.
  • 5 years’ experience in industrial services or a related field.
  • Hydro-blasting experience is a plus.
  • Significant experience in industrial/manufacturing settings, managing projects, people, and in customer relations.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • High level of computer proficiency to include Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Some travel and fieldwork will be required in order to satisfy the requirements of the position – 25% or less.
