Role :UX Designer
Contract : W2
Location : Sunnyvale, CA
Selection Process: Internal Interview -> Design Exercise - > Customer Interview
Experience creating analytical dashboards.
Since our focus is on data (finance, marketing, ops etc). Would be good to have candidates that have those types of projects under their belt.
Sketch 3-5 years hands-on experience.
Considering the majority of projects are done in Sketch, it would be beneficial to focus on these candidates.
Figma 3-5 years hands-on experience.
We are slowly pivoting to Figma, but it’s potentially a multi-year shift. Some projects will probably stay in Sketch indefinitely, as the ROI for moving them to Figma is not great.
Data-Visualization Experience.
If candidates claim to have data visualization experience, they should provide a clickable prototype or example to back it up.
Min 3 Case Studies.
Clearly outline all steps taken to bring the project to life.
Ability to work within an existing design system or create a new one.
They need to be able to tell a difference between components, nested symbols, overrides etc. That only comes with knowledge.
Min Advanced English.
Ideally have a lot of experience working with stakeholders.
At least 1 complex data-visualization project (optional).
This would be an ideal candidate. Someone that took ownership and was in charge of a major project A-Z. (Not a deal breaker if they don’t but definitely a plus if they do).
