The VNA is seeking a Resale Boutique Clerk/Lead Driver to assist with the day-to-day operation of the Thrift Shop to include pickup of donations and delivery of merchandise. Substitutes at register and in marking room as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating the work of other Clerk /Drivers and ensuring that they function in a manner consistent with VNA standards.
• Providing vehicle operation / safe driving training to other Clerk / Drivers
• Ensuring that the delivery truck is kept clean, in safe working order, and is maintained per manufacturer’s instructions.
• Responsible for driving and maintaining box truck.
• Ensures donations are safely loaded and secured on the truck prior to departure from the donar’s location. Unloads items in a safe manner to prevent damage to donations.
• Maintain daily log of pick up’s, deliveries, gas receipts, incident reports, etc., for the daily operations of the vehicle.
• Assists with daily operation of the store as needed, in accordance with established policies and procedures. Operates register, processes credit card transactions, marks donations and sets up displays, arranges furniture.
• Meet with potential furniture donors and discourage unsatisfactory donations in diplomatic manner so as not to discourage future donations.
• Responsible as backup to cashier and marker as required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. One to three months related experience preferred.
