Material Planner

VOGT Valves, Inc. is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Material Planner to add to its Operations Team. The Material Planner is responsible for the following: Inputting weekly numbers into the machine shop schedule. Updating & changing information on the schedule daily. Maintaining the machine shop schedule daily. Reviewing what can be released to production on daily basis. Verifying correct information on production orders before they are released to production and changing them when needed.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Printing & Releasing Vogt & OMB production orders.
• Verify the information on the Production Orders.
• Collect all the information regarding the schedule.
• Check & Update Smartsheet for daily for changes.
• Working closely with the machine shop manager.
• Special Projects as needed.

Requirements:

• Administrative Assistance experience is preferred.
• Computer Skills plus data entry experience.
• Meticulous attention to details is required.
• Excellent communication skills, email, on the phone and in person.
• High School Diploma is required.
• Work as a team player, internally and with customers.
• Ability to work in the following: EXCEL, WORD, Database System – ERP system, SMARTSHEET, and other computer-based software / hardware / languages.
• Analytical, logical thought process and meticulous attention to detail.
• Valve experience a strong plus, but not required.
