We are currently searching for an experienced Quality Director to support our Southwest Region and can be located in any of our Texas office locations.
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Implementation of Quality Management Program:
  • Ensure the Corporate Quality Management Program (QMP) is effectively implemented across all projects in Texas
  • Customize regional and client-specific quality standards, checklists, and templates to align with corporate policies
  • Quality Audits:
  • Schedule and conduct both scheduled and unscheduled project audits to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Collect and report audit findings to the Regional Senior Vice President and other directors, and verify improvements/corrective actions are implemented
  • Development and Maintenance of Quality Standards:
  • Develop and maintain quality standards, checklists, and processes tailored to specific clients and services within Texas
  • Promote and ensure the implementation of Project Quality Control Plans (PQCPs) and Quality Audit practices
  • Assist Project Managers in deployment of PQCPs and ongoing maintenance of project quality needs including project reviews, plan reviews, and updates for industry practice
  • Training and Development:
  • Conduct annual compliance and quality training for staff to ensure understanding and adherence to quality standards
  • Integrate quality training into the onboarding process for new hires
  • Serve as internal resource for quality related matters
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through lessons learned, feedback from audits, and quality performance reviews
  • Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance overall quality and efficiency
  • Client Communication and Satisfaction:
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding quality expectations, project scope, budget, and schedule changes
  • Collect and analyze client feedback to identify areas for improvement and ensure high levels of client satisfaction
  • Contract Compliance:
  • Monitor and verify compliance with contractual quality requirements and industry standards
  • Address any non-conformance issues promptly and effectively to prevent recurrence
  • Performance Monitoring:
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, including audit compliance rates, client satisfaction scores, and non-conformance reports
  • Report on quality performance to senior management and recommend actions for improvement
  • Resource Management:
  • Allocate and manage resources efficiently to support quality management activities and ensure project success
  • Coordinate with other departments to integrate quality management practices across all functions
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks to quality and implement strategies to mitigate these risks
  • Develop contingency plans to address quality issues that may arise during project execution
  • Ensure all projects comply with relevant local, state, and federal regulations
  • Keep abreast of changes in regulations and standards, and update quality management practices accordingly
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of quality audits, training sessions, and performance metrics
    • Prepare regular reports on quality activities and performance for senior management review
What You Need To Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in quality management, preferably within the engineering or construction industry
  • Proven track record of implementing and managing quality programs and audits
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive quality improvements
  • Certification in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ, ISO 9001, TQM, Baldridge) is preferred
