We are currently searching for an experienced Senior Water Resources/Hydraulic Engineer to support ourCarolinas Regionlocated in North Carolina. What You’ll Be Doing
Leading the analysis, design, construction administration, and preparation of technical reports, plans, and specifications for stormwater related activities for various owners, including municipalities, state NCDOT, and federal
Preparing water quality analysis and BMP designs per North Carolina standards
Overseeing and or preparing erosion and sediment control plans and SWPPPs
Working on multiple diverse projects simultaneously
The position includes developing client relationships and a commitment to quality, innovation, and honest value
Participate in business development, proposal preparation and client maintenance
Communicate with leaders and marketing resources to assist with development of projects
What You Need To Have
Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, or an equivalent related degree from ABET accredited program
Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
10 - 15 years of technical and project management experience including, but not limited to:
Thorough understanding of NCDOT’s Drainage Studies Guidelines, standards, and practices
Modeling
H&H Analysis
Bridge, culvert, and river mechanics/hydraulics
Erosion and Sediment Control Plans and Strategies
Perform technical work in various software applications, including but limited to MicroStation, Civil 3D, PCSWMM, StormCad, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and ARC-GIS
Land disturbance permits and storm water pollution prevention plans (SWPPP)
Experience using GEOPAK Drainage and or SUDA. OpenRoads experience a plus.
Candidates should have an understanding and preferred to have experience with TMDL action plans and implementation
