Volt is immediately hiring an HR Coordinator in Stafford CT. As an HR Coordinator, you will provide administrative support in all aspects of Human Resources.
This Is an onsite, in office position, Monday - Friday.
Job duties:
  • Coordinates the implementation of multiple HR processes and compiles employee information.
  • Applies experience and knowledge of HR, along with an applied knowledge of client organization/plant to identify issues and anticipate business needs as they relate to Human Resources.
  • Regularly utilizes extensive experience and advanced HR knowledge to perform specialized duties and provide regular guidance and instruction on work procedures to others.
  • Handles problems which typically require identifying solutions by selecting from alternative courses of action.
  • Provides guidance to co-workers or new employees mainly on routine supporting duties.
  • Follows a variety of generally defined procedures within functional disciplines such as benefits, compensation, staffing, employee relations, operations, etc.
  • Serves as main employee contact for subject matter that includes payroll, benefits, disability and other HR related day to day questions and issues
  • Data analyzation that may include
    • Preparing reports or spreadsheets from collected data
    • Conducting research to identify appropriate responses to maintain compliance to regulations
    • Identifying noncompliance issues, working towards resolution
    • Tracking and monitoring budgets, recommending necessary action to management
    • Initiating and following through on resolution of discrepancies/problems
    • Developing/creating manuals, databases, literature, approving designs and layouts.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of secondary/high school degree or equivalent education is required. A technical/vocational/trade school degree (2-3 years after high school) in an applicable field is preferred.
  • In addition, a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant working experience is normally required.
  • Good coordinating, analytical, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates basic leadership skills.
  • A broad knowledge of computer programs and corporate systems relevant to the assigned area of responsibility is normally required.
  • Workday software experience highly desired
Pay Rate: $26 per hour.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
