Volt is Hiring an Inventory specialist Near Airway Heights, WA

Volt is immediately hiring for an Inventory Specialist in Spokane, WA .

As an Inventory Specialist you will :

  • Perform basic functions necessary to insure a smooth efficient flow of parts. Includes receiving, stocking, cycle counting, preparing, and shipping customer orders.
  • Receive and inspect materials delivered because of purchase orders. Match goods against purchase orders, packing slips and manufacturer’s part number to ensure the correct parts and quantities are processed.
  • Package parts for shipments and ship customer orders.
  • Pull parts from inventory locations based on customer order pick lists.
  • Stock items on shelves in accordance with orderly inventory location system.
  • Unload trucks and deliver parts to job line
  • Keep inventory records updated to reflect current and accurate information.
  • Perform cycle counting on all inventory items to ensure accurate inventory.
  • Maintain work area in a safe and organized manner.
  • Keep the supervisor informed of pertinent issues involving inventory and perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
  • Assigned to support specialty inventory roles as needed

Required abilities and skills :

  • Demonstrates a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Uses time efficiently and effectively to meet the performance expectations of the position.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and shares the values of the organization. Understands how their job contributes to the organization’s success.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn our ERP system, Epicor.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Ability to identify priorities and switch one’s attention to support workload needs
  • High School diploma or equivalency.
  • Two years’ experience in inventory control functions in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Forklift training or ability to become certified as a forklift operator.
  • Must be able to lift over 50 lbs.

Duration : 12 Months (Contract)

Location : Spokane, WA (On-Site)

Pay Rate : $20-$22 / hourly

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
