Volt is immediately hiring a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor in Erie, PA.
As a Production Supervisor, you will :
- Lead a team of 3-5 machine operators
- Manage all operational aspects of 2nd shift
- Safety
- Quality
- Employee engagement
- Performance
- KPIs
- Coordinate inventory control maintenance; perform random counts and document findings
- Create and execute productivity plans to fulfill orders timely
- Develop performance goals to achieve customer expectations and promote product quality
- Promote a continuous improvement environment and use Lean principles to promote efficiency
This is a full time opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have :
- Previous manufacturing experience within a machine shop
- Previous supervisor experience within manufacturing
- Strong communication and people skills
- Previous union experience a plus, not mandatory
- Understanding of ERP software
- Comfortable performing administrative tasks
- Reporting
- Scheduling labor hours
- Spreadsheets / data entry
- Minitab
- Daily / Weekly meetings
Pay rate : $30.00 - $40.00 per hour.
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
