You deserve the job you love Volt is immediately hiring for Quality Manufacturing Laboratory Technician in Santa Clara, CA. As a Quality Manufacturing Laboratory Technician you will:
Be testing or processing DNA samples. Samples will include routine production samples and development samples. The role requires use of several analytical instruments many of which are controlled by a computer interface. Delicate handling and transfer of small samples is required including pipetting small volumes. The role will require measuring production samples or running production processes. The role may include work in a variety of production processes if the candidate is successful in the primary area.
Must be able to follow techniques and procedures in a manual workflow or operating equipment in a chemical lab environment. Must be able to work with production personnel, scientists and follow directions and communicate well. Must be organized and detailed oriented to coordinate testing and ensure accurate processing and results.
Shift: Day, Thursday to Saturday and alternating Wednesdays.
Time: 12 hours, 4:45am to 5:15pm
The ideal candidate will have:
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience or associate or higher degree for entry to this level.
- Ability to run analytic instruments
- Sufficient dexterity and physical capabilities to manually pipette accurately in small volumes using pipette and small tubes
- Must be able work in a quality lab using appropriate personal protective equipment including latex gloves.
- Basic computer skills - Excel, Word and general interface with computers.
- Experience with PCR testing
- Experience with manual pipetting in very small volumes or automated pipetting
Pay Rate: $22.00 - $23.88 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
