Volta Biotech is Hiring a Cannabis Production Bulk/Retail - Analytical Experience Required Near Oklahoma, OK

Volta Biotech is a marijuana/hemp processing and refinement company located 5 minutes south of downtown OKC.

We're looking for production focused technicians with an analytical background. Our small team is a great place to have a career. Candidate must already be living in the Oklahoma City metro area to be eligible for this job. We have a HPLC and GCMS and want personnel with experience running these machines so we can test for contaminates inhouse when we receive the plant material and test every step along the way. We can train you on our bulk production processes such as extraction, decarboxylation, distillation, sonication, formulation of retail products, etc.

With our farmer network, we produce cannabis products from plant material all the way to retail products. Retail products we produce are RSO syringes, 2G disposable and 2.25G triple threat vaporizers, green burrito prerolls, drink mixers, and soon RSO/plantprofen capsules.

Our retail side does well, our major focus this year is to increase bulk processing production. We have one of the most interesting labs in Oklahoma and you'll be trained by a great team. Processes we do at our lab - grind plant material, load plant material into bags, extract oil from plant material with ethanol, filter oil, separate ethanol from crude, decarboxylation, distillation. We can also produce water soluble liquids (nano) and powders and do conversions for hemp derived products.

Interesting things you’ll be a part of this year

1 This Fall we'll release a hemp derived product line. You’ll learn how to do CBD to CBN or CBDV to THCV conversions.

2 Add membrane skids to be the first company in Oklahoma to extract at room temperature, saving us big time on electrical.

3 Add decanter centrifuge and agitation tanks to extract at the highest efficiency possible.

4 Install a mezzanine to make room for indoor silos and system of grinding to extraction without a human touching the material

5 get automated machines functioning to fill and band 30,000 liquid capsules an hour before an auto bagging machine bags 480 bags an hour

6 get LN2 generator functioning to help us distill 20-30 liters/hour

7 steam distilling terpenes

1 Have you operated analytical equipment such as a HPLC or GCMS? If yes, please explain on which machines and number of years experience.

2 Do you have hemp conversion experience or any similar lab experience when you wore protective clothing? We will have a ventilation room setup to convert CBD to CBN and CBDV to THCV soon.

3 Have you worked in a production environment? In a small team, we require people capable of wearing multiple hats and want you to be a capable backup for our order processors. Are you comfortable doing order process work on a computer?

4 Do you have experience with inventory control? If yes, provide examples of processes you’ve done in previous jobs.

5 Have you written SOPs? Would you feel comfortable writing SOPs?
