Registered Nurse - Catheterization Lab

Location: Morristown, NJ

Job Summary:
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Catheterization Lab team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care in a specialized environment. As a Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab, you will be instrumental in supporting various procedures and ensuring the well-being of patients undergoing cardiac interventions.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments before, during, and after catheterization procedures
- Administer IV infusions and provide assistance with IV insertions as required
- Deliver care to patients needing tube feeding and monitor their nutritional requirements
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure accurate coding and documentation of medical records
- Utilize expertise in home community care to aid patients transitioning from hospital to home settings
- Provide compassionate care to patients requiring hospice palliative medicine services
- Demonstrate proficiency in geriatrics and internal medicine practices
- Assist in preparing and maintaining the Cath Lab environment
- Engage in patient education on post-procedure care and follow-up appointments

Skills:
- Experience with cardiac catheterization procedures
- Knowledge of inpatient care practices, including medical-surgical techniques
- Proficiency in medical imaging systems
- Ability to conduct physical examinations and assess patient conditions
- Familiarity with behavioral health principles
- Experience with dialysis procedures

Experience:
- Previous experience in cath lab or critical care nursing is preferred
- Proficient in patient assessment and monitoring vital signs
- Strong understanding of IV therapy and infusion techniques
- Familiarity with medical coding practices is advantageous
- Knowledge of hospice palliative medicine principles is a plus
- Experience working with geriatric populations is beneficial

Pay: $90.00 - $100.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
