During the course of the pandemic, **300 volunteers** of the weekly Saturday Grocery team provided **65,000 deliveries** of groceries to our most **vulnerable neighbors in Fort Greene**. This huge effort kept 1700 households healthy and safe, and we're not stopping there.

In the new year, we are **changing our goals** .After helping sustain those isolated by Covid-19,we are moving to **address broader food insecurity**. We will provide more, more nutritious and more appealing food at convenient pick-up locations directly within the NYCHA developments that we continue to serve.

One Community and are partners are in need of an experienced and competent driver to serve as an important linchpin of the program. **We need a dependable driver** pick up our weekly menu of foods from other organizations so that it can be packaged at our warehouse and then delivered to pantry sites.

Shifts are available **Thursdays from 8 AM to 2 PM** and **Saturdays from 8**

Participating organizations will broadly and creatively examine all their operations to see what they can do as service providers, employers, owners of facilities, leaders and advocates, trainers and educators, etc. to advance local equity and sharing. The leading institutions will confer on an executive organization-wide authority to promote the goals.

**REQUIREMENTS**

* Driver's License Needed

* Must be at least 18

* Shifts are available Thursdays from 8 AM to 2 PM and Saturdays from 8 AM to 2 PM. Thursdays involve picking up food from distributers and Saturdays involve delivering packaged foods to distribution sites.

* No special license is required, only a standard driver's license. Experience in driving work is preferred.
