POSITION: Accounting Manager, VOAPA

REPORTS TO: Controller

DEPARTMENT: Accounting

Salary Range: $70,000-$80,000 

Scope of Duties:

1. Manage all aspects of general ledger including analysis, reconciliations, and journal entries
2. Responsible for daily cashflow/revenue reconciliation
3. Responsible for monthly billings and reporting for grants and contracts
4. Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
5. Oversee the financial aspects of grant management, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local funding requirements and organizational policies.
6. Review and ensure timely submission and accurate financial reports to grantors, highlighting key financial information and ensuring adherence to reporting guidelines.
7. Manage payroll allocations used in grant budgets and review these regularly to ensure accuracy
8. Provide regular financial reports (i.e. profit and loss statements, grant budget vs. actual, etc.), and other requested financial analyses to program managers
9. Collaborate with external auditors by providing the required audit schedules and other relevant documents to facilitate the annual external audit, and/or program specific audits
10. Manage and perform other duties consistent with the roll of accounting manager and requested by the Controller or CFO.

Credentials/Abilities:The employee in this position must have a Bachelors degree in Accounting and 3-5 years of experience and supervisory experience required. Ability to communicate effectively, to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships. Working knowledge of personal computers, MS Office and accounting software. Knowledge of GAAP, principles of financial administration, including budgeting and reporting. Ability to prepare a variety of financial statements and reports and to perform financial analyses.
