Volunteers of America-Greater New York (VOA-Greater New York) is an anti-poverty organization working to end homelessness in the New York area by 2050.
We operate over 60 programs across New York City, Northern New Jersey and Westchester County including emergency, transitional and permanent housing.
Our services extend to families experiencing homelessness, survivors of domestic violence, people living with HIV / AIDS, veterans, youth aging out of foster care, adults with behavioral health or substance use needs , and others in need, including a special education preschool program.

Position : Learning and Performance Coordinator (Hybrid Remote)
The Learning and Performance Coordinator is responsible for developing learning and strategies for employee development.
The duties include collaborating with Program staff and Human Resources team to determine training needs, implement training programs, and review data from previous training programs to determine their effectiveness in helping employees learn and develop professional skills and knowledge.

New York, NY 10020 n nMinimum Qualifications : n nBachelor's degree, plus two years of related experience, or satisfactory combination of education and experience.
nCandidates should also have familiarity with current training methods, excellent leadership and motivational skills. nMust have ability to plan, manage time and multitask effectively.
nAdvanced database, computer skills, record-keeping skills are needed. nStrong verbal and written communication skills. nCandidate should have excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
nGreat collaboration and teamwork skills needed. n n nLearning and Performance Coordinator Principal Responsibilities : n nMaintain learning management systems (LMS), including training enrollments and data entry, monitoring training gaps, and create / disseminate management reports.
nProcess and maintain accurate bookkeeping records for all training expenses. Assist with billing, allocations, reports for reimbursable training costs, and assist with monitoring our tuition reimbursement program.
nCreate training schedules, track and create reports on outcomes of all training and maintain training records for the agency.
nAttend seminars and meetings to learn new training methods and techniques; and use that knowledge to prepare and coordinate future training sessions.
nRecruit and train new trainers, delegate training tasks to the new trainers and evaluate their performance. nPromote agency training opportunities for employees and provide information on benefits to encourage participation.
nInform employees around scheduled training and track their progress. nRecommend training materials and methods, order and maintain in-house training equipment and facilities and manage the budget for training.
