Volunteers of America Southeast Louisiana is Hiring a CLS Administrative Coordinator Near Orleans, LA

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Community Living Services Program Director, this position provides administrative and clerical support to the Program Director and Community Living Services program staff to maintain an efficient office environment and confidentiality. Duties range from generalized office-related tasks to keeping the program’s personnel records, data entry of information into all electronics reporting systems supported by the program, completing reports, processing invoices, maintaining a filing system, and performing related duties as assigned. Knowledge of and use of computers, software programs, scanners, and other office equipment is required. The Administrative Coordinator must have adaptive skills to learn and recommend improvements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides administrative support to the Program Director and program staff.
  • Execute plans, schedules, and supporting deliverables designed to meet program goals.
  • Responsible for all routine clerical operations and communications. Coordinates meeting logistics and maintains detailed minutes and action item lists.
  • Supports the Program Director in monitoring and maintaining fiscal matters including program budget.
  • Prepares reports and analysis as requested by the Program Director.
  • Assist the program with C.A.R.F. Accreditation
  • Provides supervision to support staff as needed.
  • Maintains Program Director’s calendar and appointments.
  • Able to evacuate during hurricane season with the program.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Non-essential)

  • Adhere to the designated dress code as stipulated for the specific role.
  • Assists with the transportation, stocking, and shelving of office supplies and equipment
  • Performs light housekeeping to keep office area clean and tidy

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

This position requires knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • Competent computer skills, including MS Office and knowledge of office equipment, are required.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational, planning, work management, and prioritizing skills required.
  • Problem-solving ability, attention to detail, accuracy, flexibility, and reliability required.
  • Documented, verifiable office experience is strongly preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work is primarily performed in a normal office environment, generally while seated at a desk. Dexterity is required to perform work with a personal computer keyboard, calculator, and other office equipment
