What You Will DoAt Volvo as a Manufacturing Engineer you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large.
You will be the Process Owner for one of our Manufacturing Assembly Lines.
Your future teamYou will join a very diverse team of high functioning Engineers with nearly 100yrs of experience.
Who are you?Do you dream big? We do too, and we are excited to grow together. In this role, you will bring:
  • Utilization of the tools within the Volvo Production System (VPS) and other lean initiatives to meet present and future demands.
  • Supporting / implementing new products and product design changes.
  • Developing solutions for production problems relating to materials, manufacturing processes and/or tooling.
  • Acts as liaison between Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Production.
  • Responsible for Line Balancing, NVAA analysis & removal, using various lean tools to improve OLE, HPU's and other dept. KPl's.
  • Creating/ Maintaining Time & Motion Analysis (AVIX).
  • Provides for equipment and tooling needs for the department & coordinates all aspects of implementing these items with the assistance of maintenance.
  • The ability to perform high-level problem solving using classical tools (5Y, 5W1H, 4M, etc.).
  • A significant amount of time will be spent communication with the team, so excellent soft skills are critical.
