Install Technician Job Description

Responsible for installation of high-end cabinetry with complex design details, focusing on residential projects. 

At Vonmod, we have developed a customized process in which we run our jobs both through technical install techniques as well as management processes. Therefore, we run all new installers through a 90-day install technician training program designed to equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge of these processes to become qualified lead installers. Throughout this period, you will learn our company’s specific processes and techniques, enabling you to excel in your role. At the end of the 90-day training period, if we determine that you have met the requirements to become an install technician or specialist, you will be offered to this position and assume the responsibilities that come with it.

Responsibilities

• Dive deep into the installation process, ensuring that it is executed according to company standards and client specifications
• Install cabinetry, appliance panels, panel walls, and other cabinetry components, ensuring accurate measurements and precise fitting
• Skillfully scribe panels, fillers, and other elements to seamlessly integrate cabinetry into walls and floors
• Collaborate with clients, Contractors, and project managers to ensure clear communication and understanding of project requirements
• Learn and grow installation skills, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and high-quality work
• Conduct on-site inspections to ensure that installations are completed accurately and meet quality standards
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in cabinetry installation techniques
• Uphold a strong commitment to workplace safety, ensuring that all installation activities follow established safety guidelines
• Understanding of building codes pertaining to the cabinetry.
• Address warranty issues and service calls solo
• Knowledge of other trades and how they interact with our scope
• Site logistics. measure/layout/wants & needs from GC
• Input on scheduling (organize multiple jobs through completion)
• Ability to pass on information clearly to other lead installers (in case job needs to be completed by others)

Experience Required

• 2-5 years of on-site construction work
• 1 or more years of cabinetry or similar installation (can be a part of the above 5 years of experience)
• Proficiency in reading architectural drawings
• Strong communication skills (in person, email, slack, phone, text)
• Knowledge of residential construction trades
