Position DescriptionThe Corporate Development & Strategy team at Voyager Space (the Company) is seeking to hire a Director of Corporate Development & Strategy. The team is responsible for shaping and driving company’s growth strategy through acquisitions, strategic partnerships and organic growth initiatives in partnership with executive leadership, business units, and other functional groups. The team sources, negotiates and executes strategic transactions to meet company’s strategic objectives and drive shareholder value. The team has a highly successful M&A track record. The team is also responsible for identifying strategic growth opportunities, conducting market & competitive analysis and industry trend research. The team also supports the Company’s capital allocation efforts, facilitates returns analysis and assists with key stakeholder management, including investor relations.
On investor relations front, the team drives a robust investor relations program based on deep analytics and strong investor engagement. Over last few years, the team has meaningfully improved investor perception of the company and drove significant share price appreciation.
The Director, Corporate Development & Strategy will be a key contributor on the team, and help drive various corporate development and strategic initiatives. The position reports to the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development & Strategy, and is based in Denver, Colorado.
ResponsibilitiesManage/lead various M&A transactions by interacting with various functional/business teams
  • Manage a rigorous due diligence process involving several functional groups and external partners
  • Develop presentation materials for board, executives, and investors
  • Develop complex business models in assessment of strategic growth opportunities, capital allocation decisions and M&A transactions
  • Conduct market & competitor research, identify addressable market opportunities, and synthesize and analyze market and other research information to identify industry trends
  • Manage investor interactions and events
  • Partner with business teams to identify product/technology gaps and develop strategy to address business need
  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models for industry, peers, and macroeconomic analysis
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of direct experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development and/or strategy consulting role. M&A and/or capital raising process management experience is required
  • Experience in the broader space & aerospace industry is strongly preferred, but not required
  • At least Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or economics, or engineering degree with practical experience in M&A and capital raising
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and critical thinker.
  • Effective communicator with solid team building skills who succeeds by working within and across functional groups.
  • Highly numerate with excellent Microsoft Office and financial modeling skills.
  • Creative mindset with an ability to identify ways to leverage existing assets for new business.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing and challenging situations.
  • Strong people leadership experience
