Job Summary:
The Hotel General Manager at is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel's operations, ensuring excellent guest service, and managing the hotel's financial performance. This role is based in Bluefield, Virginia and is a full-time, salaried position. As an individual contributor, the Hotel General Manager will work closely with the VP Management team to ensure the success and growth of the hotel.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time, salaried position with a competitive compensation package and benefits such as health insurance, and paid time off.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the hotel's operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage departments.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase occupancy rates and revenue.
- Execute effective sales and marketing plans to attract new guests and retain existing ones.
- Train and manage staff, ensuring high levels of guest service and employee satisfaction.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, making adjustments as needed to achieve profit goals.
- Maintain and enforce all safety and security procedures.
- Create and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and local businesses.
- Ensure the hotel is meeting and exceeding brand standards and guest expectations.
- Handle guest complaints and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Stay current with industry trends and implement best practices as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
- 3 years of experience in management, with proven success in increasing revenue and managing expenses.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in financial management and budgeting.
- Knowledge of hotel operations and industry trends.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed.
