About this role:

This position is ideal for a sales-focused, team-oriented professional. The position works closely with senior professionals to enhance VRC’s presence in the southeast region, including Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Alabama. Revenue generation and client satisfaction are achieved by working with support teams, coordinating with marketing programs, maintaining good networking relationships, and always acting in a way that portrays VRC culture and values.

What you will do:

• Develop a deep understanding of VRC’s lines of services
• Conduct market research to identify target companies and key individuals at those companies
• Initiate communications with companies and conduct ongoing follow up
• Monitor M&A activity and trends in the territory and track M&A activity at target companies
• Provide research support for meetings
• Develop marketing collateral, presentations and meeting materials
• Attend networking and other professional events

What you will need:

• 1-3 years of business development experience
• Strong verbal, written communication, listening and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and collaborate with internal teams to manage time-sensitive engagements
• Strong work ethic and capacity to work flexible hours around critical due dates
• A broad knowledge of finance
• Comfort and experience dealing with private equity firms and corporate finance and accounting staff
• Experience with private equity and/or investment banking a plus
• General understanding of valuation and/or financial reporting also a plus
• Current authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
