OverviewWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Medicaid Business Analyst to join our dynamic team working on the Medicaid Enterprise Client Management (MECM). As a Medicaid Business Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of the project by analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and facilitating effective communication between stakeholders.

OverviewWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Medicaid Business Analyst to join our dynamic team working on the Medicaid Enterprise Client Management (MECM). As a Medicaid Business Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of the project by analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and facilitating effective communication between stakeholders.
Duties
- Work with the project team and stakeholders to solicit requirements and create Business Requirement Documentation (BRDs).
- Defines and documents requirements (business, functional, and/or technical), performs in-depth analyses, develops plans and approaches to design and development
- Conducting and leading requirements gathering sessions; analyzing requirements gathered; identifying, documenting, and validating system requirements for continuous integration and deployment.
- Reviewing and documenting system “As-Is” state and proposing the “To-Be” state.
- Creating requirements documentation such as: Use cases, Screen prototypes, Specifications, and adhering to pre-established templates and utilizing a requirements management tool.
- Creating or improving existing templates for the business analysis functions.
- Stay abreast of changes in Medicaid policies, regulations, and industry trends.
- Providing other business analysis support as required.
- A minimum of eight (8) years of experience on one or more Eligibility, Medicaid, or Health and Human Services (HHS) IT projects
- Eight (8) years of experience as a business analyst, or systems analyst in a Health Care environment
- Experience in test case development, execution, defect identification, and reporting
- Experience developing and reviewing DDI deliverables
- Client focused business and requirements analysis experience and documentation.
- Strong experience using JIRA
- Bachelor’s or Masters’ degree with coursework in Information Technology, Business or Public Administration, Project Management and/or Communications.
- Familiarity with the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK).
- Prior experience working on New York State government projects or projects for other states.
- Current Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar.
- Strong understanding of Medicaid policies, regulations, and business processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
