Surgical Services Director

Location: Ottumwa, IA 52501

Salary: $95,000.00 to $136,000.00 per year

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Surgical Services Director to lead our surgical services team in Ottumwa, IA. As a Surgical Services Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the surgical services department, ensuring high-quality patient care, and promoting a patient-centered culture. You will also be responsible for managing budgets, leading staff, and developing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Must-Haves:

• Current RN license in the state of Iowa
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
• 5 years of experience in related clinical practice

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee the overall operations of the surgical services department
• Ensure high-quality patient care and promote a patient-centered culture
• Manage budgets and develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Lead and manage staff, including recruitment, retention, and performance management
• Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and reduce costs
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and coordination of care
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and accreditation standards
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and staff

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in nursing; baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred
• 5 years of experience in related clinical practice; 2 years in clinical leadership role preferred
• Current RN license in the state of Iowa
• CNOR certification preferred
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
